Many teenagers around the world ponder what to do as a future career. Some aspire to be optometrist, lawyers, doctors, journalists or teachers. Jeanette Liu, however, looks forward to a bright future as an entertainer and singer.

As a child, Jeanette has always envisioned her future singing in front of millions of cheering fans, signing autographs, appearing on talk shows and of course doing what she does best – letting her voice be heard.

Jeanette was always aware that she had been blessed by God with the gift of singing. Her story unfolds at the tender age of seven. At this time she found herself forming a trio in which they would perform cover songs by the Spice Girls and Britney spears before the eyes of her elementary school. As she approached thirteen she was recruited by her former grade seven teacher while in the middle of performing “Here I am Lord” to her class, and was immediately asked to start the very first school choir. By the time she reached grade eight Jeanette’s teacher approached her mom at a parent teacher conference and expressed much enthusiasm in Jeanette’s voice and ability to not only be able to carry a note, but carry it in such a way that she believed would make Jeanette a famous star. From that day on Jeanette was recognized by her peers and teachers as an up and coming musical sensation.

Jeanette has participated in various singing events, such as Canadian Idol, coffee houses, Artsfest, the Sears Drama Festival’s rendition of the musical Chicago and an uncountable amount of talent shows. Jeanette believes that all of these events whether big or small has helped her to hone, perfect as well as display her entertaining and singing abilities.

Jeanette views her life as a once in a lifetime experience in which you have to seize the moment and take in every opportunity as if it were your last. Recording her very first song, I Don’t Want An Angel, with master coach Diana Yampolsky has proven her theory true. This experience would not have been possible to achieve if it were not for the tremendous love and support from her parents as well as her siblings. Says Jeanette, “ It was a truly remarkable experience that I will never ever forget in my years to come.”
