"If you take responsibility for yourself you will develop a hunger to
accomplish your dreams" - Les Brown
Sarah has been training and
performing as a singer/dancer/actor since the tender age of seven. Sarah
has a strong passion for performing and is always looking ahead to conquor
that next artistic challenge.
Sarah attended Unionville High School for
the performing arts and majored in "Arts York Vocal". While at Unionville
Sarah appeared in one of her earliest shows, Mirvish Producions "Joseph and
the Technicolor Dreamcoat. Sarah then went on to further her education at
the University of Windsor graduating with a BFA in Musical Theatre; her
university credits include: Little Red in "Into The Woods", Dianna Dream in
"On The Town", Suzie in "Lady Be Good" and appeared in "Closer Than
Ever".
Upon Graduation she started touring across Canada and the United
States with a three part acapella comedy troupe called "The LimeyBirds".
When Sarahwasn't on the road she played in some of her favorite Shows such
as "Oklahoma"(Sunshine Festival Theatre), "Nunsense"(Canadiana Productions),
"The Servant of Two Masters" (Scaramouch Theatre), and "King David The
Musical" (Elgin Winter Garden Theatre).
Most recently Sarah worked as
lead singer/dancer in the Dominican Republic
as part of a resort
entertainment team portraying such roles as Tina Turner,
Areatha Franklin,
Sandy from Grease and Mary Poppins. She is also looking
forward to
travelling back to Alberta to portray "Jennifer" in "I love you, your
perfect, now Change"! You can catch Sarah in the touring production of this
show in Niagara Falls in Feb. 2008.
Currently Sarah is a dedicated
student of Diana Yampolsky's "Royans School for the Musical Arts". Although
there have been many vocal coaches, workshops, singing teachers and musical
directors, I have never met anyone quite like Diana. Her instruction and
vocal science theory have truly saved my voice from destruction and it is
because of her that I have discovered a
new love for the recording studio.
With two songs recorded on the demo CD thus far I am excitied to see how
much further I can grow as a recording artist. I truly believe that hard
work does pay off and if you really want something you do have the ability
to make it happen, and as Diana would say
"The Best is Yet to Come".
