Vocal polyp

Definition:

A Vocal polyp is when the membrane around the vocal cords begins to swell. They are round in shape. Vocal polyps can appear all over the vocal cords or be contained in one spot. Vocal Nodules commonly occur in singers, teachers, actors and lawyers as a result of strenuous misuse of the voice.
